I made us cookies!

These are my “I’m new to the neighborhood” cookies, and I’m standing before you in my best elastic-waist pants and the-best-I-can-do-with-what-I-got-hair. I want to make a good impression on you.

I really do.

But the only thing I can promise you is that these cookies will let you hear me out. At least for today.

My name is Laura, I live in Houston, and I’m in that mid-40’s age range (Ugh). I started this blog to document my kitchen fun. I love to cook, but I was never really interested until after my daughter was born. I would make a few things here or there until she came along, but for the most part we ate Dominoes, Ragu, and Campbell’s tomato soup.
